1 Complete the text with the correct forms of the verbs in brackets.

3 Rewrite the questions as reported questions.

2   ‘Why were you crying yesterday?’ Silvia asked Esther.

4 Rewrite the sentences with the words given. Do not change the original meaning.

5 Rewrite the sentences using relative pronouns. Write both the informal and the formal structure.
